ABOUT US

Hello! We are The Joelsons. We have been best friends for over 20 years. We met when we were 16 years old and have been inseparable ever since. We live and work together and because of this are capable of reading each others minds. We are an award-winning live-action production duo that specializes in creative direction and execution of commercial film and photography content. We’re drawn to all aspects of pre-production and production and love creating stories together. 

Rebecca has loved cameras from the very beginning. Nicknamed "Little Miss Hollywood" by her grandparents, Rebecca always loved posing for the camera. When she finally got behind the lens she fell head over heels in love and hasn't looked back. Directing people brings purpose to waking up every day even when the work doesn't let her sleep at night. Rebecca has directed and photographed legends like Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Jeff Bridges, Justin Bieber, Willie Nelson, Colin Kaepernick, and Ken Griffey Jr, just to name a few.

Kevin graduated from San Diego State University’s film program with an emphasis in cinematography. After college, Kevin quickly landed a full-time position at Sony PlayStation and became a creative director working for one of the largest entertainment brands in the world. He directed promotional content for Sony video games, managed a team of artists, and collaborated with some of the largest advertising and creative agencies. After seven years, he left a full-time position to pursue the lifelong passion of creating visuals with Rebecca. Kevin is a current member of the International Cinematographers Guild Local 600 as Director of Photography.

Rebecca and Kevin have been blessed to navigate through the competitive world of image making. Crafting work in the field of advertising, television, film, and music for brands like A+E Networks, Amazon, Coca-Cola, FX Networks, HBO, History Channel, Mercedes Benz, Rolling Stone, and Sony Pictures.
